Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a part-time Technologist Aide to join our team. The role supports technologists, helps prepare exam rooms, and assists patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.

The position offers morning hours from 6:30am to 10:30am, Monday through Friday, with paid benefits. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, CPR certification, and strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to assist patients with mobility and lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room and preparing equipment.
• Assist in the patient interview process and document safety checks.
• Assist in positioning the patient for exams and ensure safety devices are in place.
• Assist technologist after exams and help with removing patient and equipment.
• Aid the patient off the table and help to changing area.
• Check that all paperwork is complete and prior exams are available for reference.
• Assist with Data Entry and exam room cleaning and stocking.

The Technologist Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff while maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.
This is a part-time position (20 hours weekly), Monday-Friday 6:30am-10:30am.

Job Description:

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
  • Set up proper coil for exam
  • Ensure there is clean linen
  • Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
• Assist in the patient interview process.
  • Safety check list.
  • Symptoms and history.
  • Determine if prior exams.
  • Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.
  • Explain procedure to patient.
  • Reassure the patient if anxious.
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
  • Aid the patient getting on table.
  • Ensure all safety devices are in place.
  • Help makes the patient comfortable.
• Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
  • Remove the patient from bore.
  • Remove all safety equipment.
• Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.
• Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.
• Assist getting all prior paper work.
• Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.
• Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry.
• Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.

Additional Job Description:

The pay range for this position is $17/hr-$29/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
