Job summary

Katmai Government Services seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI and diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate image acquisition. You will position patients, adjust equipment, process images, and prepare data for radiologist interpretation.

Candidates must have a JRCERT-accredited program, ARRT certification, and at least 2 years MRI experience, with knowledge of RF exposure limits, anatomy, and emergency MRI procedures. BLS required and security checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Minimum of two (2) years of MRI scanning experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Knowledge of RF exposure limits (SAR) and safety in clinical MRI practice.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to identify pathology.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and evacuation in MRI settings.
• Active BLS certification is required.
• Must obtain and maintain necessary security access/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services.
• Adhere to radiation safety policies in accordance with department procedures.
• Send image series to radiologist for reading per protocol.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for required examinations.
• Process digital images and submit for interpretation by radiologists.
• Maintain records and documentation per policy.
• Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks; report issues.
• Observe patient status and manage adverse reactions, including emergencies.
• Maintain punctual attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
