Qualifications

• ARRT/NMTCB MR certification required.
• Specialty radiologic technology training completed; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety, protocols, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and adhere to ALARA safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform imaging tasks.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
