Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join the Radiology team in Philadelphia. You will perform a variety of MRI and MRA procedures, uphold patient safety protocols, and assist Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

You will interact with patients, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help ensure high-quality imaging under supervision. This role supports patient care in a fast-paced academic medical center environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic and/or MRI technology program required.
• ARRT registration in MRI (or within first year) required.
• MRI Certification required.
• CT Certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures and MR accents per protocol.
• Greets patients and explains the procedure to ensure comfort and safety.
• Obtains patient history, screens for implants, explains procedures and gains consent.
• Operates MRI scanner, RF coils, workstations, and injectors to produce high quality images.
• Maintains patient monitoring and safety throughout the study.
• Incorporates safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains inventory and communicates equipment issues.
