Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures with emphasis on patient safety and image quality. You will collaborate with radiologists, physicists, and nursing staff to deliver timely imaging services.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong patient care, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to contribute to education and continuous improvement in a high‑caliber cancer imaging program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• CMRT, BLS and RT(MR) certifications required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and high‑quality images.
• Screen patients and implants, manage clearance, and document events.
• Coordinate with radiologists, physicists, and staff to ensure efficient patient services.
• Maintain strict MRI zone access control and infection prevention practices.
• Enter exam charges, CPT codes, patient demographics, and billing data accurately.
• Provide education and mentorship to students, technologists, and staff.
