Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to support advanced diagnostic imaging services within the radiology department. The role emphasizes high-quality MRI procedures, patient-centered care, and collaboration with radiologists, physicists, clinicians, and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited JRCERT program.
• Licensure: CMRT and RT(MR) required or as stated.
• BLS certification required on hire or per policy.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures with emphasis on patient safety, comfort, and diagnostic quality.
• Coordinate with radiologists and other staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Screen patients and implants, manage clearance, and document events.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient privacy and data integrity.
• Assist with equipment checks, QA, and protocol adherence to ensure imaging quality.
• Provide education and mentoring to students and peers and participate in in-services and quality initiatives.
