Job summary

CareWell Health in New Jersey seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures across pediatric to geriatric patients, following established procedures to provide diagnostic information to physicians. You will obtain medical histories, position patients, operate MRI scanners, ensure safety, inject contrast when needed, and coach staff as required.

A NJ license, ARRT MRI certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of MRI experience are required.

Qualifications

• Education as specified: High school and a 2-year AMA-approved certificate or A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology.
• NJ licensure for General Radiography and ARRT MRI certification with advanced level preferred.
• BLS certification and at least 1 year of MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Take brief medical histories from patients.
• Operate MRI scanners and calibrate equipment for imaging.
• Position patients and attach monitoring leads as needed.
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and families.
• Develop or produce film records of MRI images.
• Inspect image quality and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Provide safe, comfortable care, including noise reduction measures.
