Ideal candidates are trained in radiologic technology, hold NJ licensure or ARRT/ARMRIT certification, and can work with contrast media under supervision. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Trade/Vocational Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI procedures following regulatory and departmental standards.
• Identify and report safety concerns to maintain a safe imaging environment.
• Maintain high-quality imaging and accurate documentation of procedures.
• Assist physicians with administration of contrast media during MRI when required.
• Position patients and ensure immobilization for optimal image quality.

MRI Technologist

At RWJBarnabas Health, MRI Technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures within the scope defined by regulatory and departmental quality standards. They are responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, including hazardous environments and medical errors, while ensuring exceptional patient care and imaging quality.

• Address patient and medical staff concerns with professionalism and compassion.

To Be Considered:

• Graduate of a Trade/Vocational Program in Radiologic Technology.
• 1-3 years of general radiology experience.
• Active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT certification or ARMRIT certification.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
