Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, Oregon, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an MRI technologist to operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and provide high-quality imaging for physician diagnoses.

You will review orders, prepare contrast, monitor patients, and collaborate with the radiology team to optimize image quality and patient care. BLS-HCP and MR registry within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
• BLS-HCP certification required; ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine; ARRT Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required within 1 year of hire/transfer

Responsibilities

• Operates magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for diagnosis and treatment decisions
• Reviews patient history and physician orders
• Educates patients about procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice as ordered
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes in status
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results for image quality and repeats as needed
