Job summary

West Valley Hospital, part of Salem Health, seeks an MRI technologist in Dallas, Oregon. The role supports 24/7 imaging operations with a focus on safety, precision and compassionate patient care.

You'll operate Siemens MRI equipment in a mobile imaging unit during ongoing upgrades, collaborate with radiologists and imaging staff, and help deliver high-quality exams with efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• ARRT credentialed in radiography.
• ARRT MRI or AMRIT MRI registration.
• Oregon OBMI radiography license.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment per protocol and maintain safety.
• Use RIS, PACS, and EPIC for workflow and documentation.
• Perform MRI exams adapting to patient condition and anatomy.
• Optimize imaging parameters for quality and speed.
• Review exam completeness and obtain additional images as needed.
• Document patient history and technical factors.
• Follow ALARA and department safety guidelines.
• Assist with medication reconciliation and Omnicell systems.
• Provide age-appropriate, compassionate care.
• Collaborate with radiologists and imaging team.
