Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an MRI Technologist (Advanced) to support BRIC imaging services, ensuring subject safety and high-quality data collection. You will operate MRI, PET/CT, and CT protocols within a research environment, under supervision and in accordance with SOPs.

Responsibilities include scheduling, time tracking for billing, and coordination with investigators. Evening/occasional weekend work may be required; strong patient handling across age ranges

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of medical diagnostics experience.
• Equivalent training/experience may be considered.
• Must meet state policy requirements for SHRA eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate MRI services for BRIC using technical and administrative expertise.
• Ensure safety of research subjects during imaging studies.
• Schedule imaging services and log machine time for billing; maintain SOPs.
• Care for subjects from 2 weeks to adults during studies.
