Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist for BRIC in North Carolina. The role supports MRI, MR/PET and PET/CT imaging services with a focus on research subjects and clinical patients of all ages.

Responsibilities include ensuring subject safety, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining accurate scheduling, safety SOPs, and time usage for billing. This is a 40-hour per week, temporary position with shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of medical diagnostics experience.
• Some positions may require additional training, certifications, or licenses.
• Training and certification in MRI/CT/Nuclear Medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI, MR/PET, PET/CT studies with/without radioactive nuclides.
• Manage scheduling, safety SOPs, and machine time logging for billing.
• Care for research subjects and clinical patients across all ages.

Skills

MRI/CT/Nuclear Medicine certification

Imaging research experience

Education
