Job summary

UNC-Chapel Hill is seeking an MRI Technologist to support the BRIC imaging core, performing MRI, MR/PET, PET/CT, and CT studies for research and clinical subjects. The role requires comfort with subjects ranging from 2 weeks old to adults, and involves both technical and administrative duties.

There is a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments within 12 months of hire. Evening/overtime work is possible, and UNC-Chapel Hill offers comprehensive benefits and professional training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in medical diagnostics.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Some positions may require additional training, certifications, or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate MRI services for BRIC using technical and administrative expertise.
• Ensure safety of research subjects during studies.
• Conduct MRI, MR/PET, PET/CT, and CT studies with/without radiopharmaceuticals.
• Manage scheduling system for imaging research services and logging machine time for billing.
• Adhere to safety standards and SOPs; coordinate with multiple investigators.
• Care for research subjects and clinical patients from 2 weeks to adults.
