Job summary

Akumin in Orlando, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to acquire cross-sectional MRI images for diagnostic interpretation, ensure patient safety, and document data in the EMR. You will interact with patients and staff to maintain a positive imaging experience.

Responsibilities include contrast administration, operation of EMR, PACS and DICOM systems, and training junior technologists. ARRT MR certification and state license required; sign-on bonus of $5,000 is included.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) certification and state license where applicable.
• BLS or ACLS certification where applicable.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for patient safety and MRI zone management.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images per protocols and standards.
• Effectively communicate with patients, radiologists and peers.
• Demonstrate competency in contrast safety and administration.
• Operate EMR, PACS and DICOM systems; ensure timely image sharing.
• Train and orient new technologists and MR assistants on site or remotely.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
