Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures in an outpatient setting. You will ensure patient safety and comfort, verify exams, position patients, and administer contrast as ordered. Collaboration with radiologists and ongoing education are required.

The ideal candidate has an ARRT MR certification or eligibility, BLS, and 1–2 years of MRI experience. Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Radiologic Technology is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility; state licensure may be required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Minimum 1–2 years MRI experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images.
• Verify patient identification and confirm imaging protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams.
• Administer contrast agents per orders and protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during scans.
• Maintain records in the PACS/RIS system.
• Follow MRI safety policies and screen for contraindications.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate MRI Technologist.Job Summary:The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures in an outpatient setting, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with established imaging protocols. This position requires technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities:Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.Verify patient identification, review exam requisitions, and confirm appropriate imaging protocols.Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the procedure.Administer contrast agents per physician orders and institutional protocols.Monitor patients for adverse reactions or discomfort during scans.Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information in the PACS/RIS system.Follow all MRI safety policies, including screening of patients, staff, and visitors for contraindications.Regularly inspect equipment for proper function; report any technical issues promptly.Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, timely imaging results.Participate in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current on imaging technology advancements.Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.Current ARRT (MR) certification or eligibility required; ARRT (R) preferred.Active state licensure (if applicable).BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.Minimum 1–2 years of MRI experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.Knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and equipment operation required.
