Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine MRI exams for patients of all ages. You will ensure comfort, safety and clear communication throughout the procedure, leveraging the latest MRI technology to deliver high-quality images and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include screening, performing MRI per protocol, daily QA, educating patients, mentoring new staff, and participating in in-service programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or ARRT pathway.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT/ARMRIT in good standing.
• MRI certification: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross certification.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of MRI examination.
• Perform MRI procedures per protocol and perform daily QA.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Report malfunctions and observe equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.
• Maintain available equipment up-time for patient accessibility.
• Process billing via RIS.
• Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
• Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.
