Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist for per diem coverage at Winchester Hospital and Winchester Hospital - Unicorn Park campus in Woburn, MA. The role requires MRI scanning experience and ARRT certification with CPR; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.

You will follow protocols, position patients, administer contrast, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the exam. The position offers hourly pay in a per diem arrangement with benefits, and may require call

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.

• Record data, provide films/CDs to Radiologist, and assist with data entry and filing.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms; support clerical staff as needed.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.* Administer intravenous contrast.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.* Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.* Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time* Assist patients with mobility difficulties* Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation* To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds* Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation**Additional Job Description:**Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits.
