Job summary

Shields Health Care Group in Milford, MA is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to join our fast-paced imaging team. The role supports patient care with accurate scanning, contrast administration, and strict adherence to safety and protocol.

The schedule includes varied shifts across two weeks, totaling 36 hours with a 40-hour role equivalent. Requirements include MRI/ARRT and CPR certifications, ARMRIT accepted at some locations, and demonstrated interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Must be able to assist mobility and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry and forms.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about exam details and obtain consent.
• Position patients and ensure comfort and safety during the exam.
• Perform scans per center protocol and administer intravenous contrast.
• Document data in the Tech Data Entry system and forward films to Radiologist.
• Provide films/CDs when appropriate and assist clerical staff as needed.
• Clean and resupply rooms and equipment; adhere to credentialing policies.

The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment. The openings for this shift is: • Week 1: Mondays 7am-430pm, Fridays 7am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-11pm • Week 2: Sunday 1230pm-11pm, Friday 7am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-10pm This role will be a 36 hour paid 40 role. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.* Administer intravenous contrast.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.* Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
