Job summary

Shields Health Care Group in Lowell, MA is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our part-time team. You will perform MRI examinations, ensure patient safety, position patients, and maintain equipment according to center protocols.

Responsibilities include administering contrast, data entry, transmitting images to radiologists, and supporting clinical staff. Requires MRI scanning experience, ARRT/CPR certifications (ARMRIT accepted at some locations) and excellent interpersonal skills.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.* Administer intravenous contrast.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.* Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
