Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in New Hyde Park, NY. You will operate MRI equipment, calibrate consoles, and ensure patient safety while delivering precise imaging results.

Qualified candidates have an Associate Degree, current state license, CPR certification, and at least one year of MRI experience. English/Spanish bilingual skills are preferred to support a diverse patient population.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
• Calibrate MRI consoles and peripheral hardware.
• Operate injectors with proficiency.
• Ensure patient safety using aseptic techniques and pre-screening.
• Address patient concerns during procedures.
• Follow physician orders for imaging areas.
• Prepare patients and collect medical history.
• Position patients for imaging and shield exposed areas.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

MRI Technologist

Location: New Hyde Park, NY

Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)

Key Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist at NYI, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and adjust imaging equipment.
• Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware.
• Operate injectors with proficiency.
• Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and appropriate pre-screening.
• Address patient concerns throughout the procedure.
• Flush IV lines post-contrast injection.
• Accurately follow physician orders for imaging areas.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including medical history review and answering procedural questions.
• Shield exposed areas of the body to protect the patient during imaging.
• Attach physiological monitoring leads as necessary.
• Provide headphones for patient comfort.
• Properly position patients for imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
