Job summary

Hmixray in New York is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and administer contrast per protocol. You will guide patients through the process and respond to physician needs in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The candidate must hold ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, a state license if required, BLS, venipuncture certification, and at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience. A sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• Minimum of one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, and other settings to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through procedures with clear explanations and address questions.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient health information and property.
• Safeguard medications in accordance with policies and law.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.


• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.


• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.


• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.


• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.


• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.


• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.


• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
