Job summary

Hmixray in New York seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort while following established protocols and physician requests.

You will interpret exam parameters, administer contrast when needed, and communicate clearly with patients and clinicians to support accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology may be required by state law.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Administer contrast safely and effectively as needed.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, FOV for quality imaging.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions and concerns.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification

• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!
