Job summary

Chippenham Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to obtain high-quality MRI images while adhering to safety guidelines for patients and staff. The role includes preparing scanners, performing QC tests, and supporting radiology staff during procedures.

The ideal candidate will be able to review exams for technical accuracy, assist with duties as needed, and help establish communication protocols to ensure quality care. A sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• ARRT-MR, ARRT-R, or ARMRIT must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality MRI images.
• Complies with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Performs necessary computer operations for MRI workflows.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares MRI scanner and performs quality control tests.
• Provide support for radiology nurse and/or radiologist during MRI procedures.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and anatomical orientation on images.
• Assists in additional duties as needed.
• Establishes procedures and protocols that ensure effective communication and quality.
• Mentors and orients MRI staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality MRI images
• Complies with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner
• Prepares MRI scanner and performs quality control tests
• Provide support for radiology nurse and/or radiologist during MRI patient procedures
• Review exams for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties
• Establishes procedures and protocols that ensure effective communication and quality
• Assures guidance, orientation and training of MRI staff.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
