Chippenham Hospital in Virginia is seeking an MRI Technologist to acquire high-quality MRI images and ensure patient safety while supporting radiology staff. The role includes preparing the scanner, performing QC tests, and assisting during MRI procedures.

Qualifications include BCLS within 30 days and ARRT-MR/R Radiography or ARMRIT certifications within 1 year. The hospital offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-MR, ARRT-R, or ARMRIT certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality MRI images.
• Complies with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Performs necessary computer operations involved in MRI workflow.
• Provides patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares MRI scanner and performs quality control tests.
• Provides support for radiology nurse and/or radiologist during MRI procedures.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and orientation on images.
• Assists with additional duties as needed.
• Establishes procedures and protocols ensuring effective communication and quality.
• Assists in training MRI staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality MRI images
• Complies with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner
• Prepares MRI scanner and performs quality control tests
• Provide support for radiology nurse and/or radiologist during MRI patient procedures
• Review exams for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties
• Establishes procedures and protocols that ensure effective communication and quality
• Assures guidance, orientation and training of MRI staff.

What qualifications you will need:

• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
