Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN role to perform MRI procedures and ensure high-quality imaging with proper patient positioning. You will explain the procedure to patients and address questions while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities include MRI exams with proper contrast, identifying anatomical orientation, and communicating results to radiologists. On-call duties may be required to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or ARMRIT certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations with proper protocols and contrast as required.
• Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure correct film identification.
• Evaluate image quality and determine if additional imaging is needed; relay results to radiologist.
• Participate in on-call duties to meet department needs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist, you would perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, by utilizing MRI equipment and your knowledge of anatomy/patient positioning for optimum imaging. You would explain the procedure to the patient and address any questions or concerns he or she may have.

·Perform MRI examinations with proper contrast media protocols.

·You will identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensures proper film identification.

·Evaluate quality of MRI procedure and determines if additional imaging is required, prior to communicating procedure information to radiologist.

·Participate in on-call duties as assigned to meet department needs.

Qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists
