Job summary

CJW Medical Center in Richmond, VA seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographs with quality and efficiency. You will operate radiographic equipment, follow radiation safety protocols, and support physicians in imaging and patient care.

Proficiency with Meditech and PACS is required, along with maintaining equipment readiness and accurate exam documentation. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Obtain radiographs of patients in department and portable equipment within target timeframe.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and use PPE.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
• Perform computer operations in Meditech and PACS; ensure proper charges and orders verification.
• Maintain patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepare exam rooms and monitor supplies; keep areas clean.
• Assist radiologist with medications and contrast agents.
• Review exams for technical quality and complete PACS verification.
• Assist with PACS cleanup and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain personal educational requirements and confidentiality.

Hourly Wage Estimate: $30.64 - $42.90 / hour

Job Summary And Qualifications

Currently offering a sign on bonus up to $15k

• Obtains quality radiographs of patients within the department as well as with portable equipment in an acceptable timeframe.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment. Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech and PACS). Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physician’s orders are verified.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation. Maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
• Assists the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.
• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) and completes verification process in PACS.
• Assists Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up. i.e.: Clean CR plates, erase cassettes, close and send exams from workstations, etc.
• Completes and maintains personal educational requirements.
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
