Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist to support a fast-paced imaging environment. You will ensure patient safety, properly position patients, and perform scans according to center protocols.

Responsibilities include administering contrast, documenting exams, and delivering films/CDs to Radiology. Candidates must have MRI experience and certifications (ARRT/CPR), with ARMRIT accepted at some locations.

• Certifications in MRI/ARRT/CPR are required, ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Position and comfort the patient during the exam.
• Administer intravenous contrast when required.
• Complete exam documentation in the data entry system.
• Provide films/CDs or forward data to Radiologist after exams.
• Maintain equipment and room supplies as needed.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.Administer intravenous contrast.Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.Contrast administrationWhat you need:This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
