Job Summary

The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked oriented clinical environment. This is a per‑diem role.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam at a level of understanding they can follow.
• Ensure the patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort; maintain visual and verbal contact during the exam.
• Perform scans in accordance with the center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to the Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films or CDs when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films or CDs to the radiologist upon completion of the exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re‑supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training and licensing based on the credentialing policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require participation in a call schedule or rotation.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty‑five pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $40–$60 per hour plus benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. The incumbent may also perform work of a lower or equivalent classification as required or directed, and of a higher classification for training and development purposes or as situationally warranted.
