Job description

Join to apply for the MRI Technologist role at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Under supervision of a radiologist and department leadership, competently performs imaging on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging scanner. Responsible for scanning and preparing images for review per protocols in MRI. Must recognize cross-sectional anatomy, perform MRI’s, and inject contrast media where applicable. Provides service excellence and complies with hospital policies and procedures. Uses RIS/PACS and HIS for recording patient exams and disseminating results.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Completed education to become Certified in MRI
  3. Recent hospital-related experience (up to one year)
  4. Digital Imaging and PACS experience
Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • MRI certification by ARRT (ARMRIT or CAMRT) or within first year of employment
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • 24 ECE credits over two years for re-certification and licensure
  • 2 MRI Safety Credits annually
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Care provision for patients of all ages, considering physical and psychosocial development and safety
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate goals
  • Knowledge of health safety laws and TJC Standards
  • Ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy
  • Ability to establish IV access for contrast administration
  • Knowledge of basic medical equipment
  • Moderate computer skills

Pay Range: $31.71 - $46.88
