Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL is seeking an MRI Technologist I to operate MRI equipment, obtain high quality images for radiologist interpretation, and provide patient care following imaging protocols. This includes EMR/PACS navigation and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from accredited radiologic/MRI program.
• BLS American Heart Association; ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, or must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRI Technologist I cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition, the technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• - High School Diploma/ GED
• - Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.

Licensure/ Certification:

• - BLS American Heart Association
• - ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• - Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

• - 2 years' radiography experience
• - 1 year MRI experience.

Licensure/ Certification:

• - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) registered
