Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a MR Technologist I to support physicians in diagnostic procedures by preparing patients and safely operating MRI equipment to obtain high-quality scans. The role requires completing an ARRT-approved radiography or MR program, and ARRT MR registration within 6 months of hire, with state licensure.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential to tailor care to patients' needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiography or MR program required.
• Minimum of one year MR experience preferred.
• ARRT MR registration (RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR)) within 6 months of hire is required.
• ARRT registration for NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility within 6 months of hire is required.
• State license is required.
• Life support training policies apply.

What We Offer

The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
