Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a MR Technologist I to assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic MR procedures, preparing patients and safely operating MR equipment to obtain high-quality scans.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and adherence to safety protocols. A ARRT MR credential, IV credentialing, and state licensure are required within specified timelines, with a PRN work schedule.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification and registration within 6 months of hire is required.
• Strong MRI imaging knowledge and ability to interpret imaging data.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills are essential.
• PRN schedule requires flexibility and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic MR procedures by preparing patients and operating MR equipment.
• Deliver the most remarkable patient experience by ensuring safety and comfort during MR procedures.
• Collaborate with the radiology team to support quality care and continuous improvement.

The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • IV Credentialed, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional skills required: Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
