Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an MR Technologist I to assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic MR procedures, preparing patients and safely operating MR equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic scans in a fast-paced radiology department.

Prerequisites include an Associate degree and ARRT MR certification or eligibility, with at least one year of MR experience preferred. State licensure and strong communication/computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required; ARRT-approved Radiography or MR program preferred.
• Minimum of one year MR experience preferred.
• Must hold ARRT MR certification or eligibility and applicable state license.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic MR procedures.
• Prepare patients for MR procedures and operate MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Demonstrate strong communication and computer skills in a fast-paced radiology setting.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
