Job summary

Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center in South Carolina is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our imaging team and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring a compassionate patient experience. You will work closely with radiologists and the broader care team to perform MRI exams safely, communicate clearly with patients, and protect patient comfort throughout the procedure.

The role requires ARRT MR certification, state licensure, and related experience; a 2-year

Qualifications

• 2 year associate degree or equivalent in radiology.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR program; MR certification within 6 months of hire.
• NH Medical Center- and Hospital Outpatient Department-certified ARRT MR registrations within 6 months of hire; applicable state license.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations with thorough imaging technique knowledge.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during imaging and explain procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate findings.
• Meet ARRT licensure and NH certification requirements within specified timelines.

As an MRI Technologist, you'll play an important role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and creating a remarkable patient experience. You'll work closely with patients, radiologists, and other members of the healthcare team to safely perform MRI examinations while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their visit.

Tuesday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM| Rotating call

What You'll Do

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
