Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Lexington, KY is hiring an MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. You will perform MRI scans with a focus on patient comfort, safety, and clear communication to explain procedures and ease anxiety.

Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, assisting with prep, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with radiologists. Registered technologists with ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS and CPR certification are preferred; state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS State License.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic technique.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supply, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport daily.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our Lexington, KY location. Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS State License
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable
• Technologists performing mid-day moves State license, as required
• CPR certification
• Active state driver’s license

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
