Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in Massachusetts. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate scanning, contrast administration, and detailed data entry, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualified candidates will have MRI scanning experience, ARRT/CPR certifications (ARMRIT accepted at some locations), and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and strong interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
• Some inpatient locations may require call rotation and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Position the patient and ensure comfort during the exam.
• Perform MRI scans according to center protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast as needed.
• Record patient data in the Tech Data Entry system and provide films/CDs.
• Coordinate data transfer to Radiologist after exams.
• Assist clerical staff and maintain equipment and rooms.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.Administer intravenous contrast.Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.Contrast administrationWhat you need:This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills.
