Shields Health Care Group seeks an MRI Technologist to support a fast-paced, patient-focused imaging environment. You will follow protocols, inform patients, and ensure comfort during exams while administering contrast when needed.

Required MRI scanning experience with ARRT/MRI certifications and CPR, with ARMRIT accepted at some locations. This role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits in a growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist with required MRI scanning experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols for patient safety.
• Inform the patient about the exam at their level of understanding.
• Position the patient accurately and ensure comfort during the exam.
• Perform scan according to center protocol and administer contrast.
• Complete forms and record patient data in Tech Data Entry system.
• Provide films/CDs and forward data to Radiologist after exam.
• Assist clerical staff and maintain clean equipment and rooms.
• Adhere to credentialing and training requirements; participate in call rotations if needed.

These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.Administer intravenous contrast.Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.Contrast administrationWhat you need:This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of timeAssist patients with mobility difficultiesSome inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotationTo push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five poundsAbove physical requirements can be met with or without accommodationAdditional Job Description:Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits.
