Job summary

Hmixray in Bethesda, MD is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and assist with contrast administration in a patient-focused setting.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT(MR) and/or ARMRIT certification, a state license where required, BLS, venipuncture skills, and has 1+ year of diagnostic imaging experience. New hire sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) certification or ARMRIT certification is required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology where applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Venipuncture certification may be required by state.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to policies and protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed in a safe manner.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions for quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam process and address questions.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Interact with patients and families respectfully in a clinical setting.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!
