Job summary

Hmixray is looking for a dedicated MRI Technologist to join their team in Columbia, Maryland. In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and guide patients through procedures. Candidates should be ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certified and possess a state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.

Qualifications

When you join us as a MRI Technologist you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders—patients, providers, payors, and regulators—to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:30-9:00pm or Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 10:30am-9:00pm. A $5 shift differential applies after 5pm.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
• Must have BLS certification.
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
