Job Description Summary:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance scanners to produce images for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain knowledge of high magnetic field strength safety protocols.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Obtain patient history and screening forms, explain procedures, and address concerns.
  • Maintain patient records and perform quality assurance on MRI equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality patient care aligned with radiologist expectations.
  • Support compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance and safety programs.
  • Use PPE and standard precautions at all times.
  • Contribute to departmental efficiency and resource management.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of MR Radiologic Technology.
  • Previous MRI experience preferred.
  • Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License (preferred).
  • Certification by ARRT and in MRI within 2 years of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
