Job Overview

Performs prescribed MRI imaging procedures independently, using technical expertise. Executes a variety of procedures that require judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities

1. Positions patient and performs imaging, analyzes results, and addresses image quality issues. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. (50%)
2. Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patients about procedures and equipment. (25%)
3. Prepares and administers contrast media or medications as ordered, monitors patient condition, and reports changes. (15%)
4. Prepares equipment, selects exposure factors, implements safety standards, performs quality control, and troubleshoots equipment issues. (10%)
5. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Associate's Degree, technical certification, or 6 months to 1 year related experience, or equivalent.
• Relevant certification (e.g., ARRT, ARMRIT, CNMT, ARDMS).
• MRI Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Background checks (Act 34, 33, 73).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior MRI Technologist experience.
