Job summary

St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and support accurate diagnoses.

You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and ensure safety in the magnetic environment while delivering detailed anatomical images. Ideal candidates will have MRI certification, ARRT/ARRT credentials, CPR, and a strong focus on patient communication and image quality.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire
• Registered Technologist MRI, within 9 months
• Registered Technologist CT, within 9 months
• ARMRIT MRI, within 9 months
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 9 months
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for scans and operate MRI equipment.

• Demonstrate expert MRI technical proficiency and attention to image quality.
• Explain testing procedures to patients and ensure understanding.

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Responsible in enforcing magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operator and visitors.
• Monitors the patient’s condition before and after the scan to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Explains testing procedures to patient ensuring patient understands what the involvement of the exam.
• Positions and instructs the patient about the preparation for the MRI test
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy of the head, thorax and abdomen, physiology, and MRI terminology, practices and procedures
• Be familiar with specific MRI coding systems

• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 9 - months or
• ARMRIT MRI, within 9 - months or

Preferred

• Associates Other in Healthcare field or Imaging Studies, upon hire and
• 1-3 years One year of MR experience , upon hire
• Medical Radiographer: TX, upon hire

Pay Range

$37.40 - $55.63 /hour
