Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Berlin, New Hampshire facility. The full-time role focuses on patient safety, image quality, and smooth operations throughout the imaging process.

You will interact with patients to explain procedures, ensure comfort, and maintain safety protocols, while collaborating with radiologists and technologists to achieve accurate results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry preferred.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Active state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and transport supplies, assist with unit readiness.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and team.
• Train new technologists and PC staff when needed.

This will be a full time position.Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.Produces high quality diagnostic images.Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.Trains new technologist and/or PC'sPosition Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent ExperienceRegistered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMSState License, as required.Technologists performing mid-day movesCPR certification.Active state driver’s license.Preferred Requirements:Associate's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceRegistry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.At Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
