Job summary

Akumin in Chester, SC is hiring a part-time MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, connect with patients, explain procedures and ensure comfort and safety. The role focuses on producing high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient care standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry, state license as required, CPR certification, and an active driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry required or registered technologist.
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred MR registry with ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screen for contraindications.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images.
• Assist with supplies, unit cleaning, and patient transport.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists as needed.

This will be a Part Time position.Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.Produces high quality diagnostic images.Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.Trains new technologist and/or PC'sPosition Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent ExperienceRegistered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMSState License, as required.Technologists performing mid-day movesCPR certification.Active state driver’s license.Preferred Requirements:Associate's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceRegistry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.At Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
