Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for our Mt. Dora facility. The role involves performing high-quality MR studies with strict patient safety protocols, on-site or remote, and communicating with radiologists and teams to ensure exceptional patient care.

The candidate will train staff as needed, manage multiple MR systems, and support regulatory requirements. A valid MR credential and state license are required; BLS/ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Registered MR technologist (ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT) required
• MR registry required for Medicare billing
• 3 months MRI clinical scanning experience or 6+ months in MRI training program
• State license if applicable
• CPR certification (BLS preferred)

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies on site or remotely
• Operate multiple MR systems and optimize imaging protocols
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, clinicians, and patients
• Train and orient new MRI staff and assistants on site and/or remote
• Complete required pre-screenings and ensure regulatory compliance

Dora facility. This will be a Full Time position.As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.Produces high quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent experienceRegistered Technologist by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARMDSTechnologists with MR Technologist Assistant oversight must be MR registered. ARMRIT certification accepted as allowable by customer contract. If Akumin is billing Medicare, registry in Magnetic Resonance is Required.MR registered technologist R.T.
