Join the MRI Technologist Team at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System

We are seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position working the afternoon shift with every other weekend rotation.

Position Overview

The MRI Technologist reviews physician orders, prepares and positions patients, performs MRI imaging, and collaborates closely with radiologists and MRI leadership to produce diagnostic images. Responsibilities include administering contrast media, assisting with MRI-guided procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and requisitions; explain procedures to patients with care and courtesy.
• Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, adjusting protocols as needed based on patient anatomy and physiology.
• Monitor patient condition, administer contrast media safely, and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain equipment, perform quality assurance, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Educate and assist radiology students and staff, and keep up-to-date with advancements in MRI technology.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program preferred.
• Active certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT required; or eligibility to obtain certification within one year.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least one year of MRI experience preferred.
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and venipuncture.
