Employment Details
  • Type: Full time
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Locations: Ypsilanti, MI, Canton, MI
  • Availability: 1st shift, every other weekend, 40 hours/week
Position Purpose

The MRI Technologist reviews physician orders, prepares and positions patients, and performs MRI imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Review physician orders and exam reasons.
  • Prepare patients, position them, and perform MRI scans.
  • Adjust protocols based on anatomy/physiology.
  • Collaborate with MRI leadership and radiologists to produce diagnostic images.
  • Administer contrast media as required.
  • Assist with MRI-guided invasive procedures.
  • Perform technical procedures independently with integrity and initiative.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
  • Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT, or MRI Registry-eligible with certification within one year.
  • Maintain CEUs (24 credits in two years) and ARRT certification requirements.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred: One year MRI experience.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture.
  • Ability to operate MRI equipment.
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
