Job summary

Piedmont McDuffie Hospital in Thomson, GA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist. You will image neonatal to geriatric patients and ensure safety and high-quality images.

Education requirements include an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT training; ARDMS or ARRT certification upon hire and BCLS are required. No prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Work Experience: No experience required.
• Licenses and Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT – Radiographer Registered by ARRT (R) Upon Hire Required and BCLS – Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MR examinations in accordance with prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintain image quality and safety protocols to assist physicians in diagnosing disease.

Overview

This position is located at our facility in Thomson, GA.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
