RWJBarnabas Health seeks an MRI Technician to join the MRI department at the Main Hospital in New Brunswick. You will support high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care, ensuring accurate demographics and optimal exam protocols.

Ideal candidates are licensed in New Jersey or ARMRIT/ARRT, with strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or accredited school of MRI technology.
• Licensed by the State of New Jersey or ARMRIT/ARRT accepted in conjunction with ARRT.
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assists Physicians as needed.
• Assists in the orientation of new staff and/or students.
• Competent in the use of RIS & PACS system, and other IT programs utilized.
• Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area.
• Obtains proper medical history and insures accurate patient demographic and medical information.
• Performs all standard techniques for procedure protocols.
• Recognizes the significance of all structures visualized and differentiates normal from abnormal.
• Reports equipment problems to supervising Technologist.
• May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
