Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN position in Macon, Georgia. This role involves performing magnetic resonance examinations, ensuring compliance with prescribed standards, and providing patient care across all age groups, including neonatal and geriatrics.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and registered in Radiography. BLS certification is also required. Preferred candidates will have 6 months of experience as an MRI Technologist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).
• BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Overview

This position is a PRN position on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None 6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS certified.
